Femörefortet

Femörefortet is a fascinating Cold War museum – a historical era full of stories and mystery.
We highly recommend joining a guided tour through the underground tunnel system carved into the rock. You’ll discover preserved sleeping quarters, a phone booth, a diesel power station, and much more.

Skottvång Mine

Skottvång Mine is a cultural and historical gem tucked away in the Sörmland countryside.
At the Mining Museum, you can explore the history of mining and charcoal production in the area, while also getting a glimpse of everyday life around the mine. The exhibition combines images, text, and audio, and throughout the summer, the Östra Sörmlands Gruvförening hosts local guides to enrich your visit.

Beyond the museum, this oasis offers a general store, an art gallery, access to the Sörmland Trail, a charming inn with great food, and live concerts all summer long.

The museum hosts exciting exhibitions year-round, offers guided tours, and arranges activities for young visitors. Eskilstuna Art Museum is also responsible for the public art in both Eskilstuna and Torshälla.

The F11 Museum is Sweden’s aerial reconnaissance museum – a historic site where much of the country’s modern aviation technology and tactics were developed.
Here, you’ll uncover the story of sensational reconnaissance missions that launched from this very place, including operations to photograph ports and strategic targets across the Baltic Sea – even deep into Soviet coastal territory.

Explore captivating history, sit in real fighter jets, and try your skills in a flight simulator!
