Steamship Munter, which was ceremoniously reopened in May 2011, annually makes a large number of tours and excursions on Hallbosjön, Skräddartorpsån, Mäskaren, and Yngaren. Munter departs from Vrena, but sometimes also from Björkvik. The tours are highly appreciated, and the beautiful and sometimes enchanting nature provides passengers with unforgettable memories. Beavers, otters, ospreys, sea eagles, and other birds can be observed if you’re lucky on the journey.
The experience of slowly gliding over the water while watching the steam engine work and being fueled by wood fascinates everyone. A serving of coffee and a bun (or alternatively a sandwich or finger food) becomes a welcome highlight of the journey.
In Vrena’s beautiful steamboat harbor, you can also enjoy a light sandwich lunch or savor homemade bread with your coffee.
