In the heart of Sörmland, you will find Stavtorp Honey & Cidery – delicacies from Malmköping!
It all began in 2008 when I decided to quit my job in Stockholm and focus on a business at home in Stavtorp. I became a beekeeper with honey production as the main focus. Stavtorp was an old trading garden with berry bushes, rhubarb, and fruit trees, so making juice, jam, and berry drinks came naturally.
There were many old books on the farm that discussed how to process berries and fruits without a lot of additives, which we learned and continued with. We pasteurize for longevity, thus avoiding the use of preservatives.
After several years as a sole beekeeper, it is now a family business. In the fall of 2013, we opened a cidery here on the farm where we make cider from your fruit but also apple cider for sale in our shop and to other local farm shops, cafes, bakeries, and similar.
Welcome to visit us at the Delicacy Store or here at home in Stavtorp but here we are only open when the apples have ripened.
