Gamla Oxelösund

Old Oxelösund

Between the steelworks and the harbor lies Old Oxelösund. Here you will find many beautifully restored houses and an archipelago setting with a 17th-century sea tavern. There was also a fortification here. Just a stone’s throw away, you will find the archipelago museum, the conference venue Mästerlotsen, and a cultural trail that shows you the origins of Oxelösund.

Follow the signage Cultural Trail and blue markings to find your way correctly.

If you as a visitor want to rent a rowboat and row over to Furön for a walk along a stretch of the Sörmland Trail, that option is also available during the summer.
