Good food for everyone
At Blommenhof, food is the focus. It is part of the simple luxury concept. Good, well-cooked food with lots of locally produced ingredients.
– We have both a summer buffet, à la carte and a three-course summer menu, Marie tells us.
The summer buffet should be affordable and help family with kids choose well-cooked food at Blommenhof rather than fast food that is worse for health. Or how about Italian-inspired dishes combined with Nordic finesse, such as pasta salad, marinated chicken fillet, and smoked fish that they smoke themselves in the restaurant.
– We want everyone to feel that it is an option to eat with us, says Marie Alexandersson.
For the lovely summer evenings, they also have luxurious frozen drinks with, for instance, mango and pineapple or other delicious fruits and berries.
Outdoor activities nearby
Three golf courses are located near Blommenhof and, as mentioned, the forest is right next door offering lovely hikes. You can borrow bicycles for free and go on a longer tour. If you want, you can buy hiking or cycling packages and you will get a packed lunch for the day.
– It is convenient and simple, just as we want it to be here. In summer, it should be easy, according to Marie.
Excursion destinations are close and numerous. It is not far to the sea and there are lovely lakes to reach. Marie Alexandersson suggests some personal favorites:
– I really like Femöre, Linudden, and Stendörren, she says, and also mentions the possibility of having an ice cream and strolling down in the harbor in Nyköping.
From Blommenhof it is 800 meters to the train station in Nyköping. It takes ten minutes to cycle to the square and you can roll all the way down to the harbor. To have that delicious ice cream. On your way back you’ll have to push a little more but when you finally arrive at Blommenhof again, you can dive into a sofa in the garden and have a well-deserved cup of coffee.
– Coffee is always available, we offer it, says Marie Alexandersson.
