Hidden in the mountain beneath the nature reserve Femöre in Oxelösund is a massive facility from the Cold War, secret until 2003, now a museum.

Femörefortet is a nuclear-safe massive facility where 70 soldiers were to defend the Bråviken area against a major invasion over the Baltic Sea from the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact, in use from 1966 to 2003.

Museum shop with sales of snacks, drinks, ice cream, souvenirs, and a very large selection of books on the Cold War.

Classic military meal can be booked in connection with group tours.

– Daily during the summer
– Saturdays-Sundays during spring and autumn
– Extra opening during winter break week 8 and autumn break week 44
– Groups are welcome throughout the year
