Here you can sleep with Bono or Ketih Richards

At Bomans hotel in Trosa, each hotel room has unique and personal decor. However, they all share one thing in common, each room has designer shoes that you can borrow.

– I am a shoe fetishist and I want to share that with my guests, says Kristin Boman who owns and runs Bomans hotel in the archipelago idyll Trosa.

Enjoy the archipelago tranquility

The lovely garden is always open.

– You can come here and just have a drink and lie down on a sofa in the garden, says Kristin and mentions they also have a harbor tavern open during the day, Bomans bar.

At Bomans hotel, no rules are followed

Kristin Boman follows no rules on how hotel rooms should look. Here, her personal interests in fashion, design, and art determine the appearance. You can stay in the Hermès room where the entire ceiling is covered with framed design scarves, or the Grandezza room with Versace wallpapers and a brass bathtub. At Bomans you get much more than good food and a comfortable bed, although those are also of course available. But it’s for the special environment that many come here.

– I’m not timid and like to push boundaries. If you like minimalistic, cool Nordic design, you shouldn’t come here, says Kristin.

Kristin Boman believes many enjoy the hotel because there is a clear sender. She shares her life here. It’s my blood, she says and calls the hotel her third child.

– I have two real children too, she says.

In the dining room, photo art by the daughter hangs, who also has her own room at the hotel.

– I did it when she was fourteen, and now she is twenty-seven. I have an artist who paints almost everything at the hotel, and she has painted a portrait of my daughter in the room.

Another unique decor detail is that many rooms have a bathtub near the bed.

– I think you should be together when you stay at a hotel, says Kristin.

How about living together with Bono or Keith Richards. The Glimmer Twin room is Kristin Boman’s tribute to Keith Richards, whose walls are adorned with pictures of the rock icon. Even artist Bono has gotten his own room as well as shoe designer Manolo Blahnik.
