Sörmland offers a myriad of opportunities whether you’re looking for the next adrenaline-pumping adventure or a leisurely Sunday ride. Here we’ve gathered our best tips for bikepacking, MTB trails, and lovely loops to experience in the saddle.
Rolling through Sörmland
Here lies one of Sweden’s most varied natural landscapes. Based on our various tips, there are both large fields, quite a few steep hills, and a suitable mix of gravel and asphalt. The Colmarp Trail is a larger trail, with several stages in Sörmland. More good starting points can also be reached via the Mälartåg where you can bring your bike.
You can also read what others have written about Sörmland. WeRide has an MTB guide and the Nyköping ambassador Leonora has her three best routes, one of which goes through Kiladalen, colloquially known as Sörmland’s Provence. Of course, you can combine the bike ride with a hike or take the opportunity to pass by castles and manors.
