Tuna Motel, built in the 1950s, has now undergone renovation and offers 29 furnished apartments, located five minutes from the E4 at Nyköpingsbro. The motel’s history dates back to 1954 when it was built by Harry Detlofsson and Enar Jansson, becoming Sweden’s second motel offering 6 rooms and a restaurant. There was also a gas station with a simple coffee service at that time.
Today, Tuna Motel offers furnished apartments that are fully equipped for self-catering. The apartments feature a kitchen for cooking and storage, fully tiled bathrooms with toilet, towel dryer, and shower, underfloor heating, ventilation, smart TV, and Wi-Fi. The motel also offers free parking and a food truck is available on site. An unmanned grocery store is just 500 meters from the motel. Nyköping and Oxelösund are about 15 minutes away by car and there are bus connections to these places.
