Sigurdsristningen

Sigurdsristningen

The Sigurd Carving on the Ramsund rock is an impressive runestone from the 11th century. The images depict various episodes from the saga of Sigurd Fafnesbane, while the text is about the construction of a bridge over Ramsundet. The runestone is located in beautiful Sundbyholm, an area well worth a detour! On-site, there is information on signs and via phone, you can have the history of the carving told to you, and there is also a version for children. Contact the Eskilstuna tourist office if you want to book a personal guide, phone 016-710 70 00 or email info@visiteskilstuna.se
